KOMODO ISLAND

Komodo island is one of the 17,508 islands that compose the Republic of Indonesia. The island is
particularly notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth, which is named after the island. Komodo Island has a surface area of 390 square kilometres and a human population of over two thousand. The people of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed with Bugis from Sulawesi. The people are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu congregations.
Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. In addition, the island is a popular destination for diving. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province.
Day trip to Komodo Island will start from Labuan Bajo, and heading to Komodo Island around 4 hours by local wooden boat or if you use speed boat it only take 2 hours. Beside Komodo dragon you can see also some wild animals such as: timor deer, buffalo, wild boar, etc. In doing this trip you may also visit Pink beach and Kanawa island for snorkeling.

RINCA ISLAND FLORES

Rinca island is one of the main island in Komodo National Park. It takes only 2 hours by
local wooden boat from Labuan Bajo or 45 minutes by speed boat. The total area of this island is 198 km2. Rinca island is one of popular island inside Komodo National Park, because in this island have the giant lizard namely Komodo dragon. So not only Komodo Island that have Komodo Dragon inside. 
Day trip to Rinca Island can be started from Labuan Bajo in the morning, and heading to this island about 2 hours by local wooden boat. On arrival in Rinca Island the visitor can do trekking to explore Komodo Dragon, Same as Komodo Island, in Rinca there are 3 kinds of trekking, they are: short trekking (1 hour trek), medium trekking (1,5 hours) and Long trekking (2 hours). Beside Komodo Dragon, here can be found also some wild animals such as: timor deer, buffalo, wild boar, etc. This island consist of 80% of savanna.
Full day trip to Rinca island also visit some small island to do snorkeling such as: pimpe island, Kelor island, Kanawa island and Bidadari island. so That's why trip to Rinca island is become famous in recent years, because beside visit komodo dragons, the visitor also able to do snorkeling in some places.
Inside This island, there are 2 villages they are Kerora Village and Rinca vilage, most of the people in this village lived as the fisherman, and some of the work as the local ranger to handle the guest who visit this island.
